It's good to note that a couple times after clicking "switch to" in the task manager I actually had to Alt+Tab my way into the game. Presto! I was in! I have tried relaunching the game this way several times and it has worked each time. I then Ctrl+Shift+Esc to launch the task manager, see that cluster truck is running, highlight application and clicked "Switch to". At this point I am able to move my cursor around but unable to click on anything on the destop. I was simply trying anything to get the game to work)Īfter adjusting these setting and launching the game, it would no longer launch to a black screen but rather just stay on my windows desktop, but I could see that the game had launched on the taskbar at the bottom of my desktop. ( There was no logic behind any of these choices. I also selected to run the game as admin. I will also add that I am using a radeon based graphics card, which I am assuming is somehow the culprit here.įirst I went into game files and adjusted the properties to launch the game in compatibility mode for windows XP. I will start by saying that I was originally able to get the initial configuration menu to load, but once I tried to launch the game itself from the config window it would just open a black screen and I'd have to force close the game to get back to windows. Not saying this will work for anyone else, but it fixed my problem.
