It depends on who you are as a producer, and what your needs are. Like we said above though, it's not all that simple. However, when it comes down to a competition between the two Omnisphere will win every single time. There are some things I personally wouldn't use Omnisphere for, and prefer Serum because it's quicker, and still produces a great sound. I would recommend you get both, because they both have different uses.
